Accounting firm website design
Accounting firm websites that bring in more clients
A Synetix SmartSite is a custom site for your firm that tests versions of itself and keeps the one that brings in more booked consultations. It accounts for tax season, because your traffic does.
Each service brings a different kind of client
Tax preparation
Most of these visitors arrive with a deadline. They want to know what you charge for, what to send, and when you can take them.
Bookkeeping
A monthly relationship, often bought after a bad tax season. Buyers want to know how the work is handed over and what software you use.
Advisory and CFO services
Fewer visitors, larger engagements. They read your approach and your people before they book a call.
Business tax and entity work
Owners searching for help with a structure or a notice. They need to see that you handle their kind of business.
Tax resolution
Visitors with a letter from a tax agency and a sense of urgency. The page has to be calm and give a clear first step.
A booked consultation, not a page view
A SmartSite scores each test on the one action you pick. For most firms that is a booked consultation, because a booking is a person who set aside time to talk about paying you.
Each booking goes into the CRM with the page and search that brought it in. You mark whether it became an engagement, in the CRM or in the mobile app. Over time the site learns which pages bring in clients, not only callers.
In season, the mobile app tells you about each new request as it arrives, so the one you can take does not wait in an inbox until May.

What a SmartSite tests on an accounting firm site
Tests run on your own visitors and are scored on booked consultations. A version wins only when the result is clear.
- Lead with the service or with the firm
- A tax visitor in March and a bookkeeping visitor in August want different first lines. Each service page gets its own test.
- Booking or a request form
- Some firms fill faster with a calendar, some with a short form that screens the work first. The test shows which fits your firm.
- How pricing is shown
- A starting fee, a range, or a call to quote. Fees are tested only with figures you give us.
- Capacity messages
- When you are full for the season, the site can say so and offer an extension or a slot after the deadline, instead of losing the visitor.
Tax season changes how fast a test can finish
Accounting firm traffic is not steady. Visits rise ahead of the filing deadlines and fall after them, and the visitors in March are not the visitors in July. A test that runs only in season can pick a version that wins with deadline visitors and loses with everyone else.
So we are plain about timing. In season, tests finish faster because there are more visitors. Out of season, they take longer. A winner picked in March is a March winner, and we test it again once the season ends.
The 1,000-visitor minimum applies to your normal months, not only your busy ones. If your traffic falls well below it outside tax season, tell us on the qualification check, and we will say whether testing can work for you.
Every variant is checked before it goes live
State boards of accountancy control who may call themselves a CPA, and their advertising rules prohibit false or misleading claims. A SmartSite writes new versions of your pages, so each one goes through a filter first. A version that fails is held for a person to review.
- “CPA” is used only for the licensed people and the registered firm, never for every preparer on staff.
- No “best”, no guaranteed refunds, and no promise of an outcome with a tax agency.
- Fees appear only as you give them to us.
- Required firm names and license details stay on every version.
This describes what the filter checks. It is not legal advice, and your state’s rules decide what your firm may publish.

Questions
- How many leads should an accounting firm website get?
- There is no fair single figure. It depends on your services, your market and the time of year. The better question is whether the visitors you already have are turning into bookings, and a SmartSite answers that by testing on your own traffic.
- How much does an accounting firm SmartSite cost?
- Synetix SmartSite comes in three bands: Core $699, Growth $1,199, Scale $1,999 a month. Design is included, and the minimum term is 12 months.
- Does my firm qualify?
- Synetix SmartSite needs 1,000 or more visitors a month. Below that, a test takes too long to call, and your firm would pay for testing that cannot finish. The qualification check asks about your traffic first.
- Will tests stop working outside tax season?
- They keep running, more slowly. With fewer visitors, a test takes longer to reach a clear result. We tell you this up front, and we test winners from the busy season again in the quiet months.
- We are not all CPAs. Does that matter?
- Yes. Only licensed people and registered firms may use the CPA title. The filter checks each new version, so a preparer or a bookkeeper is never called a CPA on your site. It is a check, not legal advice.
